Measurement & Reporting

Numbers You Can Act On, Not Vanity Metrics.

Every channel in The TMC Marketing Department is measured against what it is supposed to do for the business: reach for social, visibility and traffic for search, cost per conversion for ads, replies and revenue for email. This page lists exactly what we track, how we connect to your systems, and how often you see it.

How TMC Marketing measures results, in one place

  • TMC Marketing reports on every active channel monthly and reviews strategy with the client quarterly, with strategy syncs every two weeks.
  • Tracking is connected to the systems a client already uses, such as CallRail, HubSpot, or another CRM, or runs through the TMC Marketing CRM when the client prefers.
  • Social media is measured on reach and engagement; SEO on traffic, keyword rankings, and AI citations; paid ads on cost per click and conversions; email on delivery, replies, and revenue.
  • Reports are built from Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, the ad platforms, and the CRM, and every one of those accounts belongs to the client.
  • Reporting favors qualified leads and revenue over activity totals; a lead count is only useful when the sales team agrees the leads were good.
  • Measurement is part of The TMC Marketing Department and is set up during the Audit phase of every engagement, before campaigns launch.
What We Track

The Numbers Behind Each Channel

Each channel has a job. These are the numbers that show whether it is doing it, and the ones we put in front of you every month.

Reach & Engagement

Social Media

Reach and engagement first: how many people saw the content and how many acted on it. Follower growth, profile visits, and link clicks sit underneath, and content is reviewed against what actually earned attention.

Visibility & Traffic

SEO & AEO

Organic traffic, keyword rankings for the searches that matter to you, Google Business Profile actions, and AI citations: whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other assistants mention or recommend you.

CPC & Conversions

Paid Ads

Cost per click, conversion rate, cost per conversion, and the leads or sales those conversions produced. Ad spend runs from your own accounts, so the numbers are yours to check at any time.

Replies & Revenue

Email Marketing

Deliverability, opens and clicks, replies, and the revenue or appointments a campaign produced. Automations are measured on what they move through the pipeline, not just what they send.

Conversions

Website

Traffic by source, form submissions, calls, and conversion rate, with Core Web Vitals and search performance from Search Console. When a page is supposed to produce leads, we report on leads.

Usage & Views

Video & Photography

Views, watch time, and where each asset was used across the other channels. Production is judged by what it does for social, ads, and the website, not by output alone.

How It Connects

Tracking Is Set Up Before Anything Launches

Measurement is the first thing we build, during the Audit phase, so there is a baseline to compare against and nothing is guessed later.

1

Connect what you have

If you already use CallRail, HubSpot, or another CRM or call-tracking system, we connect to it. Your existing records stay where they are and the reporting reads from them.

2

Or use our CRM

If you would rather not run a CRM, calls, forms, and chat can flow into the TMC Marketing CRM, where every lead is tagged with the channel that produced it. The records are yours and export cleanly.

3

Set the baseline

Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Google Business Profile, and the ad platforms are audited and cleaned up so the numbers can be trusted, then the starting point is recorded.

4

Report and adjust

Monthly reports show each channel against its job. Strategy syncs every two weeks handle the details; quarterly reviews reset priorities and budget based on what the numbers say.

Two Ways to Track

Your Systems or Ours

Already have tools

We connect to your CRM and call tracking

CallRail, HubSpot, and similar platforms give the cleanest picture of which channel produced which lead, and you keep working in the tools you know. Attribution improves with every system we can connect.

Starting fresh

We run it through the TMC Marketing CRM

Forms, calls, chat, and email land in one place with the source recorded, so lead tracking works from day one without you buying or learning new software. On exit you receive a full export of every record.

Common Questions

Measurement Questions

How often will I see results?

Monthly, in a report that covers every active channel, plus strategy syncs every two weeks and a quarterly strategy review. The underlying accounts (Google Analytics, Search Console, ad platforms, the CRM) are yours, so you can look at any time.

Do I need to buy a CRM or call tracking?

No. If you already use CallRail, HubSpot, or a similar system we connect to it. If you do not, calls, forms, and chat can run through the TMC Marketing CRM at no extra software cost, and the records export to you whenever you want them.

Do you track AI search visibility?

Yes. For SEO and AEO clients we track whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and similar assistants mention or recommend the business for relevant questions, alongside traditional rankings and traffic.

What counts as a result for social media?

Reach and engagement are the primary measures: how many people saw the content and how many acted on it. When social is part of a lead-generation system, we also track profile visits, link clicks, and the leads that came from social.

What happens when results are behind?

The monthly report says so plainly, with what we think caused it and what changes next. Some channels move faster than others: paid ads show results in weeks, SEO and AEO compound over months. Benchmarks are set at the start so both sides know what on track looks like.

Who owns the data?

You do. Analytics, Search Console, ad accounts, and CRM records all belong to the client, and that is written into our contract. See What You Own for the full standard.

Do you clean up tracking, analytics and conversion goals?

Yes, as the first step of every engagement. During the Audit phase we fix Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile and ad-platform conversion tracking, record a baseline, and only then launch campaigns. It is not sold as a standalone service.

Do you set KPIs tied to revenue and report against them?

Yes. Benchmarks are set at the start of every engagement, reported against monthly and reset quarterly. When a channel is behind, the report says so and what changes next.
